Abstract

Los objetivos del estudio son identificar, en el contexto de la problemática de la repetición escolar, los factores de bajo rendimiento y, a partir de esto, establecer directrices y estrategias para programas de orientación correctiva y para la formación de profesores en matemáticas de la 1ª serie del 2º grado, en Santa Catarina, Brasil. Los datos teóricos fueron buscados en la literatura pedagógica e interdicisplinar, nacional e internacional, y los empíricos vinieron de la investigación de campo en puestos de trabajo, administración pública, currículo oficial, empresas, comercio y, principalmente, de las escuelas (alumnos repetidores, profesores de matemáticas y especialistas en educación) a través de cuestionarios.
