Abstract
Physical education cannot stand aside from the contemporary development of learning and knowledge technologies (LKT) because digital skills have prompted changes in learning methods that physical education teachers can also exploit. How can we use LKTs in physical education? In this paper we present in the form of a case study the results of an innovative proposal for the development of an acrobatics teaching unit based on the creation of Internet resources in WebQuest format. The complementarity of the results (mixed method) obtained from a range of instruments about the project – including interview, film, record sheets and a questionnaire and researcher diary – demonstrate the benefits and advantages of the use of LKTs in a self-directed learning process that helps to improve interpersonal relationships among students in face-to-face physical education sessions.
