Abstract

This article illustrates the use of virtual worlds in training teachers in physical education at university level. A total of 11 majors in physical education participated. We used an events evaluation model based on three elements: the event, the reference and criteria. Through group work a proposal for the organization of the Olympics in a virtual school had to be developed. The results show that participants successfully resolved all the requirements of this proposal and, therefore, proved the usefulness of simulations in 3D worlds in teacher education in physical education
