Abstract

In this study we make an assessment of the aerobic ability by the calculation of Ruffier’s index in a sample formed by 85 adults between 35 and 65 years old who take part in the keep fit courses organized by the sports local council based in a training programme of four months long. We collect information at the beginning and in the end of the programme (pre-test and pos-test measures). We analyze the variance to check if there are statistical significant differences getting significance among the values of Ruffier’s index in both moments of the measure, so that there is improvement in the studied characters´ aerobic ability.
