Abstract
This is about the clarification of the different origin of the words didactic and curriculum, and how a slight drawing together of them both has been made, curriculum being more dominant as the broader concept to which customarily the object of study of didactics has been ranked equally with.
This process of change and drawing together has special connotations in PE where specific didactics changes the traditional object of knowledge made up of the didactic act against physical exercise, to be lodged in a more global and contextual vision of the teaching of motricity. At the same time, the fixed stages about conceptual integration imply a speciality in the field of PE which creates an element worthy of mention, together with the analysis of its causes.
