Abstract
Rhythmic Sporting Gymnastics has undergone a constant and spectacular evolution in its technique over the years, but on the other hand its rules and system of assessment have not developed in the same way; motive for which the scoring Code of Rhythmic Sporting Gymnastics does not discriminate sufficiently in scorings assigned to gymnasts in competitions.
Basing ourselves on the scoring Code and its evolution, on the results of the different world championship, on the assessments of judges and inquiries made to trainers and judges, we have tried to get near the necessities and shortages most evident in Rhythmic Sporting Gymnastics Code analysing those factors which in some way are implicated in this imbalance.
The various studies undertaken on the more relevant parts of the Code has allowed us to restructure those aspects that influence most directly in scoring, as well as its system of evaluation.
Those studies and their practical application has shown us that it would be possible to make the scoring of gymnastics exercises more viable and objective, as demonstrated by the conclusions of this investigation given here.
