Abstract
The article starts with the following statements: a) that each type of organisation in sport determines the offer and the sport practice that is produced in it; and b) that each type of organisation interests different groups and that the organi.scitions can be in competition in order to attract people already practising sport as well as new groups —such as the elderly, minorities, etc.— that start to be interested on it. In continuation, the characteristics of the different types of sport organisa- tions are explained; which is to say: organisation of not organised sport, the commercial sector and the clubs. However, clubs are analysed in a more detailed way and to them is devoted the second part of the article.
