Abstract
The present study focuses on the relevance of different game phases and set pieces on FCB’s and RMD’s performances. We use observational methodology to find out the association between the goals scored and the different game phases. To do so, we created an ad-hoc observational instrument (IOX) and we used two recording instruments (LINCE and MOTS). For data analysis and to obtain results, we used proportion comparison analysis using STATGRAPHICS software and we initially discovered some significant differences between the two teams only in the deffensive phase.
