In this work we present some statistical methods to quantify the tactical behaviour of football teams. First we propose an analysis of the effectivity of a team, taking into account the possibilities of scoring a goal in function of the other variables that could influence it. We also propose a method to measure the offensive and defensive quality of the teams, which permits us to define a criterium for putting them in order.
