Abstract
The components of physical condition for health traditionally have been related to the development of cardiorespiratory resistance, strength and muscular resistance, flexibility and corporal composition. Moreover, we think that an important element for the correct development of physical condition for health is the work of hygiene and postural education, as postural homeostasis is vital for the prevention of injuries, efficiency and sporting performance, for the correct sporting guidance and for an individual’s general health. Most of the protocols and series of tests designed to evaluate physical condition are orientated to the quantification of a result of sporting performance. With the idea of introducing a series of general indicators of health which give us useful information so as to be able to organise and prescribe a programme of healthy physical exercises, we have collected together and designed a series of tests that, far from offering information for selection and performance, we produce references for the organisation healthier sporting orientation, which is based on the evaluation of the five components of physical condition related with health, as we mentioned before.
