Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the effect of the presence of players in the interception area of the goalkeeper on the performance and motor behavior of young football goalkeepers. Two analysis conditions and three groups of participants were created. The results showed that environmental constraints have no effect on the percentage of successful stops, although they did affect the motor behavior of one of the analysis groups. Nevertheless, the inexistence of differences in the group that did both analysis situations means that the results should be treated with caution.
