Abstract
The study was focused on the analysis of possible differences of the results obtained between semi-final and final series of 100 m races at the Andalusia Swimming Championship of Age Groups. Swimmers age was 13-14 in females and 15-16 in males. Different temporal and kinematics variables were collected: Speed (V), stroke rate (Fc), stroke length (Lc), and stroke index (Ic) of the diverse swimming styles: freestyle (C), back (E), breaststroke (B) and butterfly (M), comparing between gender, swimming style and, semifinal and finals. The results showed at these ages significant differences between genders and between final and semi-final series, being the difference between age and the Lc the main implications of the differences between the two genders.
