Abstract

The article deal about a study anthropometrique of children aged 9-12 years carried out at four schools in the province of Malaga. This is a longitudinal work of more than two years long which was followed by children studying their fourth year at primary school, 294 in all. We have used the most updated methodology in morphological analysis.
The linear evolution of the anthropometric indicators points out a greater development in girls than boys, particularly betwen the ages of 10,6 and 11,2 ; however the diameters of bones in boys are always superior to the ones in girls.
We could also emphasize that this study is very useful to prevent phisical problems such as obesity and its didactic approach through healthy life habits.
