Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the actions in second defensive line in female beach volleyball depending on the level exhibited by female players. A total of 15 games were analyzed. The sample included 856 complete sequences in second defensive line. An observational instrument (category system) was created to carry out a systematic registry of the actions in second defensive line. A study of confiability was carried out to determine the degree of agreement inter and intra realiability, reaching to achieve agreement between observers >0.80 wich guarantees the quality of data. After crossing variables, the results showed a significant difference (x² of Pearson <0.05) in terms of defensive actions to be used by the players. However, the female player didn’t show differences in the system of second defensive depending on the level of play.
