Abstract
In this article the .figures obtained from parallel surveys in sport clubs in Spain and Germany are compared. In the first part the theoretical problems and of method related with comparative sociological research are discussed. In the second one is made an empirical analysis of the figures obtained. The results are interpreted under the perspective of the debate on globalization, “institutional arrangements” and the place occupied by clubs in the social context.
