Abstract

Introduction to adapted sport (brief historical notes, concepts, functions, context…) Sport in the face of adversity as a concept, which includes adapted sport and inclusive sport. Sport in the face of adversity as a sporting demonstration, which cares for the people, who are not included in the social circle. These people are associated with these factors: physical, psychical, sporting achievement, social-economic, ethnic-cultural, etc. Finally, an orientative classification on the different people who practice sport, with relation to the associated factors they present, and to make sport satisfy heterogeneous groups, with special needs in the two main perspectives which are adapted sport and inclusive sport.
