Abstract
The aerobic has been expressed in the last years as the most practiced physical activity in the world. That summit impels in the decade of the eighty this activity as spectacle sport and competition, today still done not know in large part of the Spanish geography. We have approached the present study with the objective of analyzing some morfologic and functional characteristics of the subjects practice of aerobic sports and in this way to provide determined parameters of the profile of the specialty that they could facilitate interest elements for a greater knowledge and specific training.
This article does not deal with an analysis of Aerobic as a “gymnastic method with music for the maintenance and development of the general physical form of the individual with and aerobic basis” as defined Porta (1986), but rather of sport-aerobic, as a institutionalised competitive sport, with specific technical code, which seeks to measure the competitor’s general skill.
