Abstract
The changes carried out by women during the 20th century in all fields, from work to study, would be incomplete without female representation in the sporting field. The advances and gains of all type have their origin in the proliferation and expansion of women in physical practices. In relation to the role played by women in sport it is necessary to reflect on the difficulties they have had to overcome to achieve their integration, which were not any less than those they suffered in other areas of society.
