Abstract
The wrestling of León, known popularly as “aluche”, belongs to the ambit of combat sports. This form of traditional wrestling from León has developed throughout the present century from being a pastime and entertainment on holidays and at celebrations into a spectacular sport and marks a cultural identity in León.
