Abstract
The National Health Poll which is periodically performed in Spainhas shown in a stubborn manner the tendency of the adult population towards overweight and, in the owrst of cases, obesity. In the last fifteen years the overweight and obesity rate has doubled in our country. Kids closely follow this tendency, since Spanish scholars between 7 and 11 years of age are Europe’s fattest after the children of the island of Malta.
