Sport, born in the liberal English society, emerges as a contemporary agonistic practice at the beginning of the industrial revolution, under the protection of bets and shows, it exceeds all cultural or social particularities to which it is initially submitted to because of its primary ascription, and it turn, along with science, in an effective universal language accepted by all social states and the vast majority of the existing communities. It soon emancipates from all initial links and it turns in a key part of the ideologic mechanism of all political systems of the century: liberalism, nazism, fascism, communism, authoritarrianism, nacionalism, or globalism. Sport has survived to the different metamorphosis to which its been submitted to and it has turned into one of the most characteristic facts and of grater impact in the contemporary culture. Through the microcosmos of the sport system you can follow with certainty a fundamental part of the history of this period, contituting an essential script to revise and know our time period. Contemporary culture doesn’t explain itseld with only sport, but it is incomplete without it.
