{"id":14172,"date":"2020-10-27T12:13:30","date_gmt":"2020-10-27T12:13:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/revista-apunts.com\/?p=14172"},"modified":"2020-11-09T11:35:59","modified_gmt":"2020-11-09T11:35:59","slug":"learning-and-talent-in-soccer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/revista-apunts.com\/en\/learning-and-talent-in-soccer\/","title":{"rendered":"Learning and Talent in Soccer"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Abstract<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>The ecological validity of three representative games of the invasion games tactical problems (keeping possession, attacking the goal and scoring) for assessing the game performance of 21 U-10 youth soccer players was analyzed. Data were analyzed according to the year of competition of the players in U-10 categories (First or Second) and the level of expertise. Second year players game performance was significantly higher in decisions for keeping in the game that represented this tactical problem (<em>U<\/em>\u2009=\u200933, <em>p<\/em>\u2009=\u2009.051, <em>r\u2009<\/em>=\u2009.44), and in passing decisions for keeping in the attacking game (<em>U<\/em>\u2009=\u200933, <em>p<\/em>\u2009=\u2009.044, <em>r\u2009<\/em>=\u2009.42). The level of expertise correlated significantly with the game performance in getting-free decisions and executions (<em>rho<\/em>\u2009=\u2009.573, <em>p<\/em>\u2009=\u2009.007; <em>rho<\/em>\u2009=\u2009.620, <em>p<\/em>\u2009=\u2009.003) for keeping in the keeping game, and also in the getting-free executions for attacking in the scoring game (<em>rho\u2009<\/em>=\u2009.480, <em>p<\/em>\u2009=\u2009.028). Less skilled players showed significantly higher values in the \u201cspectator player\u201d behavior in the scoring game (<em>rho<\/em>=\u2009\u2013.521, <em>p<\/em>\u2009=\u2009.015).
