The mean age of the subjects was 11.1 ± 0.7 years. Body composition and lower limb explosive force capacity were assessed by vertical jump. The assessment of body composition was performed using the INBODY 230 (Microkaya, Spain) platform. The Quattro Jump (Kistler, Switzerland) force platform was used to measure the jumps variables and the ABK and CMJ jump tests were performed. Results and conclusions: The results of the jump test variables for participants were within the reference values for subjects of their age. Girls have higher power and force peaks than boys while the latter achieve greater height in the jumps. Boys get higher percentages for muscle mass and girls more mass and higher fat percentages in impedance.

Keywords: ABK and CMJ, BMI, Force

Abstract Objective: The objective of this research was to evaluate lower limb extension explosive force capacity in primary schoolchildren and analyze the differences that may exist in both lower limb explosive force capacity and body composition by sex.
