The sample consisted of senior RG groups, with a total of 19 in 2007 and 16 in 2008. Each group performed 2 exercises, one with 5 ropes and the other with 3 hoops\/4 clubs. The findings showed the following: throws predominate in Mastery in the two types of exercises evaluated; there is a predominance of non-throw collaborations and RR1 (with throw and risk, loss of sight of the apparatus, and going through or over the apparatus); in rope exercises and in hoop\/club exercises simple throw collaborations predominate; in the case of SAC (special artistic characteristics) with a rope, jumping inside the rope, moving out and handling were the most used items in rope exercises in both 2007 and 2008; in the case of hoop SACs, the most commonly used item was handling in both 2007 and 2008; and finally the most-used technical items in club SACS were mills in both 2007 and 2008.<\/p>\n\n <div class=\"tags\"> <p><strong>Keywords:<\/strong> <span>Artistic Value<\/span>, <span>Groups<\/span>, <span>high performance<\/span>, <span>Rhythmic Gymnastics<\/span><\/p> <\/div> \n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Abstract The purpose of this study was to analyze the artistic composition of the competition exercises performed by teams taking part in the Rhythmic Gymnastics (RG) World Cup 2007 and 2008 in Portim\u00e3o.
