The observation of what is happening in our social environment shows that the physical-sport activity is an important element of the life style of many people, with the correspondent repercussion in the health state, although women presents a very low rate of participation, and very high when its refers to the abandon during the adolescence.
Different researches carried out in the national and international context have analysed the sport habits from the gender perspective, treating not only those variables related directly with the physical activity (physical-sport participation, frequency, intensity, practised activities, etc.) and the sociodemographic characteristics, among them the sex, but also, between these variables and certain personal and social factors which, in some way, condition the sport socialisation process in the female context.<\/p>\n\n
