The visual training (VT) basis on the accomplishment of sequenced batteries of exercises that necessarily must fulfil certain characteristics: to be designed according to the results found in the optometric examination, to follow a suitable evolutionary order adapted to the patient abilities, and to be made up of specific exercises for the function that is wanted to improve. The exercises directly affect the retinal-cortical route, the retinal-subcortical route and extrinsic and intrinsic muscles of the eye, improving the function of these systems thanks to the cerebral plasticity. Knowing where, because and when we can make VT will help us to understand better the rules sustaining the VT and to improve securely our behavlour protocols.<\/p>\n\n\n
