Sport has been introduced as a social phenomenon since half-way through last century. Nowadays, there are still important gaps which do not allow to see clearly the factors than take part in its construction. The leadership can be a representative example. Its study has gone unnoticed for a long time. However, it constitutes a basic key in order to understand how the social phenomenon of sport is constructed. On this article, its interpretation will allow us not only to explore a concrete field of social action sport, but also man\u2019s history as a whole, being here the sportman\u2019s history. From a phenomenological perspective, it is hoped to clarify which elements take part in its construction and the social functions it satisfies, according to the different space-time coordinates.<\/p>\n\n
