The sample is constituted by 171 males between 8 and 14 years old. It was used the Participation Motive Questionnaire from Gill, Gross and Huddleston (1983). ANOVAS were done to the different age-group comparisson and, moreover, a Factorial Analysis for each age-group was done. The results depicted that the youth sport s practices motives presents differences according their age, showing signifficant differences in certain aspects and the factors that are showed.
