Purpose: To evaluate if the throwing precision from 4 meters at different heart rate intensities (180, 150 and 120) is altered and to what magnitude the effective loss in the throw to goal. Methodology: 12 waterpolo players from the Costa Rica\u2019s national team, with 4 years of international experience. A waterpolo net (\u201csniper\u201d) was used to assess throwing precision. Each player had 5 opportunities in each heart rate frequency and the number of successful shots was accounted for in percentages. This procedure was repeated in three different days. A one way ANOVA with repeated measures was done and a Post Hoc Tukey analysis to determine the statistical significant differences . Results: The statistical analysis indicated a significant difference between the three levels of throw that were tested. A continuous increase in precision as the heart rate decreased. Discussion: To go from (120 to 150) the precision decreased 20,53%, unlike when it passed from (150 to 180) there was a decreased from 33,94%.
