The direction of the attitudes that adolescents show towards physical and sports-related activity represents a very important aspect when it comes to promote their performance in order to achieve a healthy lifestyle, a basic function of the educational task and, concretely, in the Physical Education field. \u00a0A study was carried out among 700 adolescents from Granada, between the ages of 13 and 18 years. This study focused on the orientation of the attitudes towards physical and sports-related practice considering the gender of the subjects, following the \u201cCAAFS questionnaire\u201d. The results reveal that boys present attitudinal levels remarkably superior (p<\/em>< 0.05) to those of girls, not only in the attitudes oriented to the process (3,69 and 3,45 respectively), but also in those oriented to the result (2,45 and 2,33 respectively). The \u201cappearance improvement\u201d (2,71) is the attitudinal sphere towards which adolescent girls from Granada show a greater tendency, and the \u201cvictory\u201d sphere in the case of boys (2,65). Therefore one could finish by stating the necessity to improve the attitudes towards physical and sports-related practice in girls and to consider\u2009 the need to diversify practice depending on the orientation of the said attitudes in function of the subject\u2019s gender.<\/p>\n\n
