Twenty-two assimptomatic women (20.56\u00b1SD0.98 years), all undergraduate students of physical activity and sports sciences but not involved in competitive sports, participated in the study. The subjects took part in a short-term aquatic fitness program (aquaerobic) consisting on eight 30-minute activity sessions. Their health-related physical fitness level was assessed immediately before and after the intervention. The results showed a decrease in fat body weight and an improvement in flexibility, hand grip strength, abdominal muscles endurance, balance, and estimated maximal aerobic power.
