Dins de l\u2019\u00edndole ergog\u00e8nica, la cafe\u00efna \u00e9s una subst\u00e0ncia estimulant socialment acceptada (Burke, 2008), amb efectes coneguts sobre diferents sistemes funcionals (Graham et al., 2008; Lieberman, 2001). <br>La majoria d\u2019estudis s\u2019han dut a terme sobre el rendiment f\u00edsic, mostrant resultats controvertits en la literatura (Astorino i Roberson, 2010; Harris, 2010) i en menor mesura sobre funcions cognitives (Lieberman, 2001). Aquestes discrep\u00e0ncies es deuen principalment a la difer\u00e8ncia de dissenys i protocols de recerca utilitzats (Astorino et al., 2007; Jenkinset al., 2008). En general se solen ressaltar els efectes beneficiosos sobre temps de reacci\u00f3 (Garrett i Griffiths, 1997; Popoli et al., 1998). Gaireb\u00e9 no hi ha cap estudi que hagi analitzat l\u2019efecte de la cafe\u00efna sobre funcions cognitives espec\u00edfiques (Attwood et al., 2007; Michael et al., 2008), i, en particular, sobre alguna de les xarxes atencionals. Nom\u00e9s hi ha dos autors (Bruny\u00e9 et al., 2010a, 2010b; Huertas et al., 2011) que mitjan\u00e7ant el paradigma de Posner (Posner, 1978, 1980) van analitzar conjuntament les tres xarxes atencionals.<br>Aquest va ser el punt de partida per aquesta tesi doctoral, composta per tres experiments, tenint com a objectiu con\u00e8ixer l\u2019efecte de la cafe\u00efna en funci\u00f3 de la condici\u00f3 d\u2019esfor\u00e7, de forma general sobre la funci\u00f3 atencional de control executiu i d\u2019una manera particular sobre la funci\u00f3 d\u2019alerta i d\u2019orientaci\u00f3. Es va utilitzar el paradigma de costos i beneficis (Posner et al., 1978), per registrar mesures de temps de reacci\u00f3 i de percentatge d\u2019errors, en funci\u00f3 de diferents condicions d\u2019activitat (rep\u00f2s versus esfor\u00e7) i ingesta (cafe\u00efna versus placebo). Com a resultats cal assenyalar que l\u2019exercici agut aer\u00f2bic accelera la resposta de reacci\u00f3, sent m\u00e9s r\u00e0pids en condici\u00f3 d\u2019esfor\u00e7 que en rep\u00f2s, sense modular la velocitat de resposta per part de la cafe\u00efna. M\u00e9s interessant va ser la reducci\u00f3 de l\u2019efecte d\u2019alerta en la condici\u00f3 de cafe\u00efna, aix\u00ed com la seva relaci\u00f3 amb l\u2019h\u00e0bit de consum demostrant-se que els consumidors habituals de cafe\u00efna van presentar un major efecte d\u2019alerta que els no consumidors. D\u2019altra banda, es va observar com la condici\u00f3 d\u2019activitat tamb\u00e9 va modular la capacitat d\u2019orientaci\u00f3 espacial i temporal, sent superior l\u2019efecte de validesa en la condici\u00f3 d\u2019esfor\u00e7. <br>Es pot concloure que la cafe\u00efna \u00e9s l\u2019ajut ergog\u00e8nic m\u00e9s popularitzat a nivell mundial que produeix millores en el rendiment de l\u2019esportista, per\u00f2 que no es pot generalitzar el seu tractament, sin\u00f3 que s\u2019han de tenir en compte les caracter\u00edstiques individuals de cada esportista per a un \u00f2ptim resultat d\u2019aquesta subst\u00e0ncia sobre el rendiment dels esportistes.<\/p>\n\n <div class=\"tags\"> <p><strong>Paraules clau:<\/strong> <span>alerta<\/span>, <span>atenci\u00f3<\/span>, <span>cafe\u00edna<\/span>, <span>esfor\u00e7<\/span>, <span>orientaci\u00f3<\/span><\/p> <\/div> \n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Resum Sobre el rendiment esportiu influeixen multitud de factors que interactuen entre si de forma complexa.
