De totes les manifestacions de la for\u00e7a, l&#8217;explosivitat o capacitat de generar for\u00e7a en un breu per\u00edode de temps sembla que \u00e9s la m\u00e9s important en la majoria dels esports d&#8217;equip. Hi ha diversos m\u00e8todes per millorar la pot\u00e8ncia, per\u00f2 no est\u00e0 clar quin \u00e9s el m\u00e9s apropiat. Aquest article intenta aportar informaci\u00f3 sobre les q\u00fcestions seg\u00fcents: \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 S&#8217;ha d&#8217;entrenar amb pesos elevats o amb poc pes? \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Quina \u00e9s la import\u00e0ncia de la velocitat de moviment en l&#8217;entrenament de la pot\u00e8ncia? \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Fins a quin punt \u00e9s important l&#8217;especificitat en l&#8217;entrenament? \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Com s&#8217;ha de repartir el treball de for\u00e7a al llarg de la temporada? Aquestes i altres q\u00fcestions s&#8217;analitzen des de l&#8217;enfocament de la fisiologia de l&#8217;exercici, basant-se en investigacions realitzades en aquest camp. Per les caracter\u00edstiques dels esports d&#8217;equip, la capacitat de repetir accions d&#8217;elevada intensitat durant un per\u00edode de temps prolongat tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s important, tot i que aquest article fa refer\u00e8ncia \u00fanicament a m\u00e8todes d&#8217;entrenament per millorar la capacitat de pot\u00e8ncia en una sola acci\u00f3 (com ara el salt o el llan\u00e7ament) o en diverses accions durant un temps breu (esprints i despla\u00e7aments curts).
